One important turning point in our history was the Keating- Owen Child Labor Act. Millions of hard working kids' lives were changed. In 1916 the act became the first nation- wide movement from the government to disallow child labor. To this day this act affects us, because it doesn't allow the sale of products made by child laborers under the age of 14. It changed the lives of children 4 to 16 years of age, from working hard, suffering, and even dying at a very young age. It is important for those kids to attend school and get education.
